‘Nothing solid’ in Wolgram investigation

Greg Gatin – Times Review Editor

An RCMP news release sent out Sept. 22 requesting information on four females and one male who may have clues regarding the disappearance of Brianne Wolgram has turned up very little, Sgt. Art Kleinsmith said Monday.

Kleinsmith stressed the RCMP’s interest in identifying the five people described in the release is not to incriminate anyone but merely to help gather information about Brianne and her state of mind hours before her disappearance.

“Some people have the misconstrued idea we’re looking for someone’s head and that’s not true,” Kleinsmith said. “These people might be able to assist us with the state of mind of Brianne before she went missing. They were probably friends and they might have an idea what her plans were.”

Wolgram, 19, was reported missing Sept. 5 and was last seen near the Seven-11 convenience store on Victoria Road around 11 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Kleinsmith said the case has resulted in many leads to follow and around 100 people have been questioned in connection to the case, but nothing significant has occurred.

“We haven’t got anything solid,” he said.

The five members from the Kelowna RCMP detachment brought up to Revelstoke to assist in following tips returned home Sept. 24 and the Missing Persons Foundation from Calgary turned up nothing during a search last Saturday and Sunday of the Akolkolex area where Wolgram’s car was found abandoned Sept. 10.

Listed are the descriptions given by the RCMP of five individuals they are currently trying to locate in connection to the disappearance of Brianne Wolgram:

Female #1

Description: Shoulder-length reddish/brown hair in ponytail with curly bangs. She was wearing a long skirt, floral pattern, mainly brown in color, a white short-sleeved blouse and possibly a friendship bracelet. The girl was seen leaning on the hood of the Wolgram vehicle while at the Seven-11 store.

Female #2

Description: Approximately five-foot-four-inches in height with straight, shoulder-length, brown hair. She is of medium build and wore a white T-shirt, jeans and slip-on sandals.

Female #3

Description: Was seen at the counter inside the Seven-11 store. She has reddish/blonde, shoulder-length hair and has a nose ring. She was with Brianne in the store.

Female #4

Description: Blonde hair. Wearing jeans, a white T-shirt and slip-on sandals.

Male #1

Description: Well-groomed male with sandy, blond hair. He was wearing jeans and a jean jacket and is in his mid to late 20’s. He was seen putting gas into a white 4×4 truck that had a pair of dirt bikes or a quad in the truckbed.

Anyone with information concerning the above described individuals is asked to call the RCMP at 837-5255 or Crimestoppers at 837-TIPS (8477)
