About Brianne

Brianne Wolgram

One of the last known photos of Brianne (hair straightened).

Brianne Ruth Wolgram was a soft-spoken, sweet, and attractive young woman.

She was just 19 years old at the time of her disappearance.

Many people viewed her as shy or timid.  Those who were lucky enough to get to know her would say she was outgoing, fun, and absolutely hilarious.

She was employed at McDonald’s restaurant and The Ol’ Frontier’s Supersave gas station, both located on the Trans Canada Highway in Revelstoke, BC.

Brianne resided with her parents, Sheryl and Cliff.  She has two older brothers, Troy and Todd, who were not living at home during the time of Brianne’s disappearance.

Like many young women, Brianne spent most of her time working and hanging out with her close group of friends.  Her schooling, two jobs, and older brothers led her to make a variety of different friends and acquaintances throughout Revelstoke.

Brianne led an active lifestyle; playing sports throughout high school and working-out at the gym.  She occasionally consumed alcohol at parties but did not smoke cigarettes or “do drugs”.

She had dreams of going to college, travelling, getting married, and having children.  Though she was not romantically linked to any particular boy, Brianne did have “crushes”.

Not long before she disappeared, Brianne had purchased a black Acura Integra with gold-coloured rims that was her pride and joy.  It was in pristine condition and she made sure to take good care of it.  That last summer was filled with “Slurpees”, rocky beaches, and the loud blaring of Beastie Boys from her new car.

The summer of 1998 came to a tragic end when our dear friend was taken from us on September 5.  Brianne disappeared that evening without a trace.   Her family and friends have been deeply missing her for a very long time and are no longer willing to sit around and wait.

We are coming for you, Brianne.  We love you and will not give-up.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
– Margaret Mead

Was the 200 in cash hers? Why 200.00? Very few people have an exact amount like that on them?

Yes, the cash was hers. She cashed her pay cheque that day.

    Hello,

After watching the Owen Rooney Story on 60 Minutes, I researched it leading me to Brianne’s story. I must admit that I feel for the family and friends of Brianne, and I was wondering if there were any updates, or is the case closed with the Police? I will pray for answers for you all. God Bless You.

    Paul

This tragic incident has been tugging at my heart for the past 20 years. I often pray for the family and friends to find answers and peace. I offer a prayer for the mother and father…I think that whomever has information about this case will, in time, have to tell someone about what happened…my hope is that this time comes soon. May she rest softly in the arms of the Lord Jesus and may the family also find comfort and peace at last.

Very weird one. I find ot hard to believe for 22 years, the group of girls havent been id’d especially having such distinct looks. And why not rob her? And if the car crashed or was staged, the girls had to get home somehow, so who drove them? Did they live nearby and walk home. And if not for money, was she buying drugs off these girls, or something sexual and backed out, girls got mad and killed her?

Remember, the 7-11 girls were described by witnesses that had to be hypnotized. Witness accounts can be unreliable so maybe too much focus has been put on this detail.

Were the other three young ladies last seen with Brianne thought to have gotten into her Acura?

If so, I assume the entire car was dusted for prints. Have those prints been run again 22 years later? One of those three young ladies probably has had prints taken in the ensuing 22 years. Maybe they can find a match.

    • findbrianne November 19, 2020 at 2:41 pm #

Reportedly, they were just seen talking to her. There are various witness accounts of the 7-11 sightings that differ. Possibly, people had Brianne confused with someone else or a different night entirely ( in my opinion ). As far as prints go, I know the car was dusted for prints and no conclusion came from that. There is an RCMP member still actively assigned to Brianne’s case.

Reminds me a bit of the disappearance of Brianna Maitland (names!). Gone from a very rural area with all its quarrels and intrigues I think it unlikely that a stranger is involved. Also the location of the car indicates local knowledge?
I am curious if there ever was a match to the composites of the women – or at least some suspiscion?
On the other hand you have some transient people due to the proximity of the Trans Canadian Highway…

I just wanted to know if there are any more updates lately from RCMP?

Are they positive it was Brianne or a different girl in a fight with her boyfriend? I’m born and raised in Revelstoke and honestly doesn’t seem believable that a girl would be wandering around on that road. It’s a busy logging truck road as well and would’ve been covered in way more dust than described.

So many things, questions and details not given or answered. I would love to be in contact to help in whatever way I can. We need to solve this, it’s been too long and she deserves to be fought for.

my friend and I visited Revelstoke a few years ago . I remember seeing the angel statue and wondering why it was behind bars . I recently listened to a podcast called Trace Evidence #104 – The Disappearance of Brianne Wolgram , and learned from it that the statue had been vandalized and thus put behind a barrier . Some people can be heartless .
It has been 23 years as of this message . I hope the family gets some answers and some peace one day .

First, my heart-felt condolences go out to Brianne’s family. It saddens me that so many years have passed since her disappearance without any resolution for them. I had just graduated college in late 1998 and now have a teen-aged daughter than many describe as shy until you get to know her and then she is side-splittingly hilarious and will not stop talking… sounds a lot like Brianne 🙂

I’m glad this site is active and I pray that the family gets some answers to what happened to Brianne.

Is this site still active? Any chance new dna technology (e.g., forensic genealogy) could help identify potential suspects?

    • findbrianne January 9, 2023 at 11:39 am #

Yes, the site is still active. The case has been actively worked on by RCMP in recent years and there has been work done on the DNA.
